These are avoided relatively easily by backing away from him as he winds up for the counter-attack. If you stray too close, he will do one of two moves, with one being a simple shield swing to knock you back and the other a shield slam into the ground creating a small shock wave around him and magic projectiles that fall from the sky. Thankfully he does several attacks where his shield is moved out of the way, leaving himself open to be attacked. Much like the first boss, the Commander has a giant shield that will block basically any attack, so you must wait for him to open himself up. That’s all you need to know about using Gauntlets in Lords of the Fallen, so get out there and start blowing s*** up.The Commander fight is a bit different from the first boss, as he's a bit more cautious and doesn't become more reckless as the fight goes on, so be careful! To use the Gauntlet, hit L2/LT and use the left arrow to cycle through spells. As your off hand item, it will take the place of your shield. Projectile will shoot missiles at an enemy, and runes will add effects like shield piercing and increasing the chances of item drops.Įxit your inventory menu, then hit the Triangle button on PlayStation and Y on Xbox to equip it. Explosive will charge and throw an AoE bomb, and runes can add different effects to the bomb, such as fire damage or splitting.
